A folk dance movement recognition method based on multi-source somatosensory information fusion

Abstract:

In this paper, we introduce a novel method for dance movement recognition using multi-source somatosensory information fusion. The performance and accuracy of our method has been tested on two different dance performances with 30 participants. We show that the proposed adaptive fusion algorithm significantly outperforms other state-of-the art methods while achieving comparable accuracy. Moreover, the experimental results from our study illustrate the practicality of combining multiple signals in order to achieve reliable motion classification.
