Abstract:

In the field of contemporary art, biological art has a unique interactive function, which can demonstrate the aesthetic characteristics of the integration of life and art. This study focuses on the media function and aesthetic characteristics of biological art, mainly exploring from two dimensions: technical media function and biological media function. This study explores how biological art can use modern technological means to predict and express life phenomena from the perspective of "preventive strategies" in the function of technological media, thereby triggering audience reflection on future ecological and technological development. In the dimension of "dynamism", it is found that biological art shows the vitality and creativity of living organisms themselves, stimulating their life potential through artistic practice, and bringing audiences a new experience of the essence and beauty of life. In terms of the function of biological media, this study explores how biological art can use organisms themselves as media to achieve a deep integration of life and art. This study analyzes the aesthetic characteristics of biological art from two aspects: the intervention of life in art and the integration of art into life. The participation of biological art media can bring rich life aesthetic characteristics to art practice and can also encourage the audience to deeply reflect and examine the life and human beings involved in art practice.
