Investigating the influence of Organizational Capabilities and Innovation Potential in Commercialization Success: An analysis of European Biotechnology Research Firms

Abstract:
Over the years, with the continuous growth in biotechnology sector in Europe, commercial success within this sector has also become crucial, emphasizing the incorporation of effective organizational capabilities and innovation potential. As a result, this study has also aimed to determine the impact of organizational capabilities and innovation potential on commercialization success within the context of biotechnology sector in Europe, incorporating the mediating role of effective communication and moderation of collaboration. For this purpose, the quantitative data was collected from 242 employees working in the biotechnology sector in Europe. The survey strategy was used for data collection and regression analysis was conducted for testing the hypotheses. The results obtained from this study showed that both organizational capabilities and innovation potential have a significant impact on commercialization success. Similarly, the mediating role of effective communication and the moderation of collaboration was also found to be significant. This study also presents various implications to enhance commercialization success in the European biotech sector.
