Focusing on the Determinants of Biotechnology Firm Development: The Role of Collaborative Knowledge Transfer

Abstract:
The study analyses the determinants of firm development in the biotechnological sector. The independent variables of the study are entrepreneurial attitude, entrepreneurial skills, and innovation orientation. It has also examined the mediating role played by collaborative knowledge transfer. The adopted methodology of the study is a quantitative research method, and the data has been collected by utilizing a close ended survey-based questionnaire research strategy. The study has adopted statistical approaches for data analysis, for this purpose SPSS was used. The findings of the study have revealed that entrepreneurial skills and innovation orientation have significant impact on biotechnology firm development, however entrepreneurial attitude has an insignificant impact on biotechnology firm development. The mediation of collaborative knowledge transfer was found to be significant. The study offers theoretical and practical implications and provides future research directions.
