Abstract:

This study examines the roles played by industry environment and intellectual property rights in the promotion of biotechnology project performance in the Canadian biotechnological industry. The study has utilized a quantitative research method, and the data has been collected by using a survey research strategy. Data was analysed statistically using smart PLS. The results of the study have shown that collaborative leadership has a significant impact on the industry environment and intellectual property rights. Entrepreneurial orientation was found to be a significantly influence industry environment, intellectual property rights and project performance. and intellectual property rights was found to have a significant impact on project performance. The mediation of intellectual property rights was found to be significant on the association between entrepreneurial orientation and project performance. The study holds importance regarding theory and practice and discusses limitations and future work indications.
