Abstract:

The paper proposes a novel a torque sharing function (TSF) to reduce torque ripple in switched reluctance motors (SRM) during commutation. This strategy divides the commutation region into two zones, improving the proportion of input phase torque allocation to track the actual torque quickly and effectively reduce torque ripple. Additionally, the current in the output phase is reduced in the latter zone to avoid generating excessive negative torque. By employing this method, torque ripple in the motor is effectively suppressed while enhancing operational efficiency. Simulation and experimental results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of this approach, demonstrating advantages in improving system robustness and disturbance rejection while requiring lower hardware computation speed.
