The Influence Effect of Science and Technology Innovation on Safety Production Efficiency in Coal Industry

Abstract:
The safety production efficiency of the coal industry is an objective indicator that reflects whether the production efficiency and safety production are "win-win". Based on the SBM-GML model and the system GMM model, this paper discusses the impact mechanism of technological innovation on the safety production efficiency from the three dimensions of quality, quantity and type. The study found that the quality of innovation contributes more to the safety production efficiency of the coal industry than the amount of innovation, and the synergy between the two will stimulate a better positive impact; the measurement results after the decomposition of safety production efficiency show that technological innovation mainly drives safety production efficiency through technological progress; for innovation types, the effect of substantial innovation is better than strategic innovation. The double promotion of quantity and quality that promotes substantial innovation can more effectively provide a technological drive for improving the safety production efficiency.
