Abstract:
Understanding the quality of returning migrant workers' entrepreneurship and its influencing mechanism is crucial to the sustainable development of rural economy, and helps rural revitalization and solve the problem of migrant workers' entrepreneurship and employment. This study establishes a complete evaluation index system of entrepreneurial quality, and takes 1517 returning migrant workers from 9 provinces and cities in China as the research sample, uses factor analysis method and entropy method to determine the regional entrepreneurial quality index and ranking. Then, the regression model and mediation model are constructed to explore the influence mechanism of social network on the entrepreneurial quality of regional migrant workers. The results show that the entrepreneurial quality of migrant workers includes three dimensions. The impact of social network on entrepreneurial quality shows regional heterogeneity, and social trust plays a mediating role between social network and entrepreneurial quality. As a result, the policy focus is on strengthening the social network of returning migrant workers, enhancing social trust of entrepreneurial farmers, and supporting returning migrant workers in terms of access to information and resources. These policies are conducive to both the improvement of the overall quality of entrepreneurship and the sustainable development of the rural economy.
