This study examines the healthcare accessibility for ethnic minorities in the mountainous regions of Yunnan Province, China, designated by Protection International as a key biodiversity area. The research assesses medical convenience in terms of travel ease from remote settlements to healthcare facilities, using Dehong Autonomous Prefecture as a case study. The findings aim to extend the model for evaluating healthcare and educational accessibility in other mountainous areas with similar geographic challenges. This approach emphasizes the importance of infrastructure in improving living standards for isolated communities
