Abstract

The fusion of arts and technological innovation has catalyzed transformative experiences, especially in dance art. Choreography, a critical dance component, is more than just a sequence of steps—it's a medium for storytelling and emotional expression through movement. This study investigates the role of digital technology in redefining choreography, emphasizing not just artistic innovation but also its health implications for young dancers. By integrating digital tools into choreographic practices, this research aims to showcase how technology can amplify the art of dance, making it more accessible, flexible, and health-conscious. The focus is on how digital advancements can enhance dance's fun and productivity aspects while ensuring young performers' physical and mental well-being. We explore the myriad ways in which digital technology can transform traditional choreographic methods by offering diverse options and resources, moving beyond the limitations of pen and paper or conventional media like film or video. The study also highlights the health benefits that come with this digital integration. It proposes that the use of technology in dance can lead to safer, more informed practices that cater to the physical needs of dancers, thereby reducing the risk of injury and promoting overall well-being. The increased accessibility to a wide range of resources and online learning opportunities further supports a healthy, inclusive, and innovative dance environment. This exploration aims to pave the way for a new era in dance choreography, where digital innovation harmonizes with health and artistic excellence.
