Abstract

This study explores the role and mechanism of the digital economy in promoting rural revitalization, with a focus on its integration with digital health and biotechnology innovations. Grounded in the theoretical frameworks of division of labor, transaction optimization, and cooperative benefits, the paper examines how the digital economy empowers high-quality agricultural development and identifies pathways for optimizing rural revitalization strategies. The research analyzes the impact of the digital economy on ecological sustainability, proposing pathways through which digital advancements contribute to environmental protection. By leveraging complementary advantages, a stable and dynamic symbiotic relationship between the digital economy and the ecological environment is established, enabling mutual growth. Empirical results indicate that the coefficient estimate of InDE is 0.214 when InDE ? 4.8075, significant at the 1% level, demonstrating the digital economy's significant positive effect on rural revitalization within this range. This study highlights the transformative potential of digital economy innovations, particularly those rooted in biotechnology and digital health, in fostering sustainable rural development. The findings provide actionable insights for policymakers and stakeholders aiming to integrate digital and ecological solutions for rural revitalization, paving the way for more resilient and thriving rural communities.
