Abstract

This essay evaluates the synergistic theory of the co-evolution of political and ideological studies and psychological education in colleges and universities before outlining the steps to build a synergistic system of "ideological and political + mental health" in these institutions. Second, using information technology, the synergy theory is used to build a collaborative teaching platform for "ideological and political education + mental health" at higher education institutions. The operation of this teaching platform is then described. Finally, using a university as an example, we examined the quality of the ideological and political education and the mental health of the students. The findings reveal that college students' overall ideological and political quality is favorable, with average percentages of A, B, C, and D evaluations of ideological and political quality being 38.99%, 31.23%, 20.92%, and 8.86%, respectively. College students are unable to manage their own stress and are at risk for mental health problems, as evidenced by the average percentages of A, B, C, and D ratings for mental health, which are 16.91%, 26.56%, 25.26%, and 31.27%, respectively. Therefore, it is essential to continue enhancing the collaborative education teaching platform, encourage the adoption of the collaborative education system, and then assist college students in better establishing a sound psychological state through political and ideological education.
