Development of a Biotechnologically-Enhanced Interactive Learning System for College-Level Chinese Language Using Biological Corpus Technology

This paper presents the development of an interactive learning system for college-level Chinese language, underpinned by advanced biological corpus technology. The construction of the biological corpus involved three key steps: selection of annotated corpora, text annotation, and consistency checking, with a particular focus on the detailed corpus annotation process. Subsequently, the interactive learning system was designed, incorporating a dual-layered architecture. The system architecture layer addresses the business processes, user interface, and overall structural design, while the system technology layer integrates B/S architecture, biometric technologies, and biological corpus applications. Biometric technologies were specifically applied to enhance the interactive features of the system, facilitating user engagement and personalized learning experiences. The system’s performance was rigorously evaluated in terms of biometric corpus consistency, biometric system efficacy, and overall system stress and compatibility under varying conditions. Results indicated that the agreement rates for Left-Scope and Right-Scope annotations were approximately 90%, while the Full-Scope agreement rate was about 10% lower. Additionally, the facial recognition feature maintained high accuracy, with rates exceeding 0.88 in low-light conditions and 0.96 across various facial expressions. The system's capacity to handle simultaneous users was tested, showing robust performance with 600 concurrent users, while a slight delay was observed when user numbers exceeded 650, with response times reaching 4.8 seconds. Compatibility tests across different smartphone brands yielded high scores, averaging above 0.92, confirming the system’s broad usability. These results underscore the system's potential to significantly enhance the learning experience for college Chinese language programs through the integration of biotechnological tools and methods.
