Highlighting the role played by entrepreneurial skills and learning in furthering the performance of employees in biotechnology firms: The role played by open innovation
Abstract
The research aims to assess the employee performance through entrepreneurial skills and learning. For this purpose, the role played by open innovation has also been observed. The entrepreneurial skills and learning plays an important role in the outcomes of firms as well as their employees. The research adopted a quantitative research design to test the variables involved in this study. The formulated hypothesis was then tested through statistical techniques using SPSS, the results indicated a significant association among entrepreneurial skills and employee performance. The entrepreneurial learning also significantly effects the employee performance. The moderating role of open innovation is also resulted to be significant. The research provided useful insights both in the perspective of practical and theoretical contributions. As the literature regarding employee performance through ES and EL has been upgraded. Practically, the research provides meaningful insights regarding increased awareness to promote entrepreneurial skills and learning so that better employee performance can be accomplished. For increasing generalizability of the research both insights are incorporated in the discussion
