Harnessing Cognitive Biolinguistics for the Development of a Chinese-Japanese Traditional Culture Parallel Corpus: Biotechnological Applications and Commercial Insights

This study delves into the integration of cognitive biolinguistics with bioinformatics to advance our understanding of metaphorical expressions in Chinese and Japanese traditional cultures. We establish a robust Chinese-Japanese bilingual information mining system, utilizing bioinformatics technologies to enhance the alignment accuracy of paragraphs, sentences, and words within bilingual texts of these cultures. The core of our research involves the construction of a multiple-parallel corpus based on cognitive biolinguistics principles, designed to facilitate a deeper linguistic and cultural analysis. By configuring an advanced corpus environment, we systematically test and evaluate the mining performance and alignment processing capabilities of the Chinese-Japanese Traditional Culture Multiple Parallel Corpus. The empirical results demonstrate high efficiency and accuracy: mining accuracy rates for Chinese and Japanese web pages exceeded 0.977, with paragraph and sentence alignment in bilingual chapters achieving about 0.9, and translation accuracy from the corpus also surpassing 0.9. These findings not only validate the effectiveness of combining cognitive biolinguistics with bioinformatics technology but also underscore the potential commercial applications of our multiple-parallel corpus. By providing precise and culturally nuanced translations, this corpus serves as a valuable tool for researchers, educators, and practitioners interested in exploring the rich tapestry of traditional Chinese and Japanese cultures. This integration of technology and linguistics opens new avenues for the commercialization of linguistic resources and educational tools in the field of biotechnology.
