Based on the output-oriented method, this paper carries out a research design for the teaching mode of education. Three links are given in the teaching model: driving, facilitating and evaluating, and the research process mainly consists of three stages: output driving, input facilitating and output evaluating. In order to verify the effectiveness of the translation teaching model based on the concept of POA, three aspects of English translation performance, reading cognitive ability and writing attitude were demonstrated. The results show that the mean value of the post-test translation achievement of the experimental class is 3.373 points higher than the mean value of the pre-test, the overall reading cognition of the experimental class is significantly improved at the 5% level, and the mean value of the three stages of driving, facilitating, and evaluating is more than 3 points. The translation teaching mode based on the concept of POA can effectively improve students’ English translation ability, and can provide high-quality skilled talents for the development of modern biotechnology.
