Abstract

This study explored the commercial potential of sports science, particularly focusing on products and services that promote healthy lifestyles. Through focus group discussions and surveys involving 25 participants, it revealed a strong interest in personalized fitness apps and nutritional supplements, alongside a good awareness of existing products like fitness trackers and sports nutrition supplements. Despite this interest, challenges such as high costs and limited awareness of the benefits persist. The research identified three key areas of consumer interest: personalized services tailored to individual health goals, the integration of technology with wearable devices and apps that provide actionable insights, and the motivational appeal of gamified fitness challenges and interactive platforms. Participants emphasized the importance of transparency about the scientific validation behind products and pointed out the necessity for affordability and accessibility to broaden market reach. The findings suggest substantial opportunities for entrepreneurship in sports science, particularly in creating accessible, scientifically-backed solutions that meet consumer needs for personalization and engagement.
