This can be challenging, mainly when dealing with biotic and abiotic stressors such as disease, pests, climate change, degraded soil, and water scarcity. One of the biggest challenges to sustainable agriculture is the proliferation of pests and diseases, which may drastically reduce crop yields and quality. To solve these problems, biotechnology may be utilized to produce disease- and insect-resistant crops.
