Investigation and prevention of risk factors of depression and anxiety in adolescents' non-suicidal self-injury behavior

Abstract:

Objective: To investigate and analyze the risk factors of depression and anxiety in adolescents' non-suicidal self-injury behaviors, and summarize the corresponding preventive measures. Methods: By retrospective analysis, 156 adolescents with depression and anxiety who came to our hospital from January 2021 to June 2022 were taken as the research objects, and divided into groups according to whether they had non-suicidal self-injury, that is, the adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury were set as the observation group (n=113) and the adolescents without non-suicidal self-injury were set as the control group (n=43), and the risk factors of depression and anxiety among adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury were investigated. Results: Single factor analysis and Logistic regression analysis showed that only child, parents' strict discipline, bad childhood experience, school bullying, family environment, internet addiction and interpersonal relationship were not only related factors but also independent factors (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The risk factors of depression and anxiety in adolescents' non-suicidal self-injury behaviors include only child, parents' strict discipline, bad childhood experience, school bullying, bad family environment, internet addiction and bad interpersonal relationship. However, the occurrence and development of non-suicidal self-injury behaviors can be effectively prevented and controlled by taking active and effective intervention measures.
