Abstract:

This paper applies the genetic algorithm to the analysis of the effectiveness of counselling mental health education in colleges and universities, focusing on the genetic algorithm under biological evolution, combining the connection between the two and determining the adaptation function in the operation of the genetic algorithm. The layout algorithm is used to perform calculations to obtain the center of the hexagon in the overhead view, i.e., the location of teaching, so as to achieve the effect of teaching visualization. The evaluation of mental health education work is constructed by studying the function of psychological teaching basics and the integration of mental health elements. The mental health effectiveness evaluation index was used to analyze the effect of mental health education work of college counselors. The results show that the student-oriented mental health education work of college counsellorsis beneficial to students’ mental health. The post-test scores of students in the accepted course class were smaller than the pre-test scores in t=5.55, p<0.000, indicating that students in both classes had lower interpersonal distress at the end of the semester. The mean score of self-esteem and self-confidence of the students in the experimental class A was 28.78 in the pre-test and increased to 32.01 in the post-test, which is an improvement of 3.23. This study mainly provides an effective reference method to test the mental health education work of college counsellors.> <0.000, indicating that students in both classes had lower interpersonal distress at the end of the semester.
