Abstract:

The healthcare sector in Canada has also incorporated digitalization in its finance and accounting system to enhance its overall performance. Even though digitalization has helped in optimizing the accounting system, it also integrates various security and privacy-related concerns. Thus, this study mainly focuses on determining the impact of artificial intelligence system (AIS) on accounting system efficiency (AC) within the context of healthcare sector in Canada, focusing on the mediating roles of privacy risk perception (PRP) and information security (IS). For this purpose, the moderation of cyber security (CS) is also observed. The data has been collected from 248 employees working in healthcare sector of Canada, via survey method and multiple regression analysis was conducted. The results obtained from this study showed that AIS has significant impact on AC, while the mediating role of PRP was also found to be significant. However, the mediation of IS was also found to be significant. In contrast, moderation of CS was found to be insignificant. This study also incorporates important practical as well as theoretical implications, to enhance information security and privacy within the context of digital healthcare system, increasing the efficiency of this study.
