Abstract:

This research has been conducted to assess the biotechnology venture performance through academia-industry collaboration and resource allocation. Mediation of technology transfer has also been observed in this regard. For assessing this relationship formulated after reviewing the literature, the researcher implemented an “explanatory quantitative study design.” Data was collected through questionnaires disbursed through surveys. 209 questionnaires were analyzed through SPSS and AMOS. Results showed that CL insignificantly impacted the BVP, whereas RA significantly impacted BVP. The mediation of TT was resulted to be significant in the present study. This research holds numerous theoretical and practical implications. The study effectively contributes to the emerging literature by showing the importance of technology transfer in enhancing the performance of biotechnology ventures. Practically, this study also provides useful insights to the HRM department of biotechnology firms regarding the ways through which performance of such firm can be maximized. Limitations and future indications have also been presented by the researcher.
